AMBASSADOR B. BOLORMAA VISITS STYL & KABO TRADE FAIRS IN BRNO
On 21 August, Ambassador B. Bolormaa visited the international STYL Fashion and Textile Fair and the KABO Footwear and Leather Goods Fair, held in Brno.
Held twice a year at the Brno Exhibition Centre, STYL & KABO is a major B2B trade event for the fashion, footwear and leather goods industries in Central and Eastern Europe. The fairs bring together manufacturers, designers, importers, distributors and buyers, providing a platform for establishing direct business contacts. This year marked the 67th edition of STYL & KABO, which attracts approximately 4,000 industry professionals and buyers on average.
The Ambassador met with Jan Kubata, CEO of BVV Trade Fairs Brno; Radoslav Klepáč, Director of Foreign Relations; and Martin Škarka, Project Director. The parties discussed opportunities to facilitate the participation of Mongolian wool, cashmere and leather manufacturers in STYL & KABO, organize business meetings, showcase Mongolian products and promote cooperation in the Czech and wider Central European markets.
At the invitation of the organizers, the Ambassador attended the fair’s official reception and the opening of the fashion show, where she viewed new collections presented by participating manufacturers and designers.
The Ambassador also learned about Slovakia’s coordinated national participation in the fair, organized within the framework of its economic diplomacy to promote Slovak manufacturers and their products. This experience provided a useful reference for exploring the future participation of Mongolian manufacturers in a similarly coordinated format.
During her visit to Brno, the Ambassador met with representatives of the Mongolian community residing in the city and surrounding areas. They discussed the community’s employment, living conditions and current concerns, as well as the possibility of organising Mongolian-language classes for children and young people. The Embassy reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining regular contact with Mongolian citizens residing in the Czech Republic and supporting their proposals and initiatives.
