AMBASSADOR MEETS WITH DIRECTOR GENERAL OF THE NATIONAL MUSEUM
On 13 August 2026, H.E. Ms Bolormaa Batsaikhan, Ambassador of Mongolia to the Czech Republic, met with Dr Michal Lukeš, Director General of the National Museum of the Czech Republic, to discuss preparations for the Mongolian dinosaur exhibition scheduled to open in Prague in 2027, as well as future cooperation between the museums and cultural institutions of the two countries.
Ambassador B.Bolormaa congratulated Dr Lukeš and the National Museum team on the successful organization of the international exhibition “Chinggis Khaan,” which introduced Mongolia’s rich history and cultural heritage to Czech and international audiences. She noted that the exhibition attracted approximately 75,000 visitors and became a landmark cultural event, making an important contribution to cooperation between Mongolia and the Czech Republic.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed key organizational aspects of the forthcoming dinosaur exhibition, including the selection, preparation and transportation of exhibits, the exhibition space, the opening ceremony and the overall schedule.
Dr Lukeš informed the Ambassador that preparations were proceeding according to plan. He expressed confidence that, given the unique Mongolian dinosaur fossils to be presented and the exhibition’s considerable scientific and educational value, it would become an exceptional event not only in Europe but also internationally.
The two sides emphasized that the exhibition would provide an important platform for expanding cooperation in palaeontology and the natural sciences, while further strengthening the Comprehensive Partnership between Mongolia and the Czech Republic, their longstanding friendship and cultural ties.
Ambassador B.Bolormaa expressed confidence that the exhibition would offer an excellent opportunity to showcase Mongolia’s unique natural and historical heritage internationally and stimulate greater interest in Mongolia as a travel destination. She reaffirmed the Embassy’s commitment to supporting the preparation and successful organization of the exhibition in every possible way.
