MONGOLIAN BUSINESS DELEGATION VISITS THE CZECH REPUBLIC
A delegation representing Mongolia’s science, innovation, and small and medium-sized enterprise sectors is visiting the Czech Republic from 6 to 10 September 2026 as part of the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ PROPED economic diplomacy programme.
H.E. Ambassador Ms. Bolormaa Batsaikhan received the delegation and exchanged views on opportunities to expand Mongolia-Czech cooperation in science, innovation, start-ups and SME development. The discussions also addressed ways to promote Mongolian wool and cashmere exports and strengthen business links between the two countries.
The Mongolian delegation includes representatives from the Investment and Trade Agency, the Small and Medium Enterprise Agency, the Ulaanbaatar Business and Innovation Agency, the Science and Technology Park of the National University of Mongolia, and Sankou Marketing Mongolia.
During the meeting at the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Martin Bašta, Deputy Director of the Department of Economic and Science Diplomacy, discussed opportunities for cooperation in science, innovation, research and development with the Mongolian delegation.
At BIOCEV, the Biotechnology and Biomedicine Center jointly established by Charles University and the Czech Academy of Sciences, Director Dr Pavel Marásek introduced the delegation to the center’s research activities, infrastructure and international cooperation.
Jakub Škaba, Director for International Projects at the Association of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and Crafts of the Czech Republic, shared Czech experience in supporting SMEs and start-ups and expressed interest in establishing cooperation with Mongolia’s Small and Medium Enterprise Agency.
During its visit to the Technology Center Prague, a national advisory organization supporting research and innovation, the delegation learned about the center’s activities, while the center expressed its readiness to establish cooperation with relevant Mongolian institutions in business research, analysis and innovation support.
