Ambassador B.Bolormaa met with Mr. Richard Hlavatý, Director of the Department for Non-European Countries at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, on 2 June 2026.
During the meeting, Ambassador B.Bolormaa underscored the successful convening of the Ninth Session of the Mongolia–Czech Intergovernmental Joint Committee on Economic Cooperation in Prague in May 2026 and reaffirmed Mongolia’s commitment to further strengthening trade, economic, and investment cooperation with the Czech Republic under the framework of the Comprehensive Partnership.
The two sides exchanged views on concrete measures to increase Mongolia’s exports, facilitate the entry of Mongolian wool and cashmere products into the Czech market, enhance their promotion and visibility, and strengthen cooperation between the business communities of the two countries. In this context, Ambassador B. Bolormaa sought the Czech side’s support in facilitating the participation of Mongolian manufacturers and enterprises in trade fairs and exhibitions organized in the Czech Republic.
Director Hlavatý noted that the two sides had agreed to establish a Working Group on cooperation in mineral exploration, mining, processing, and rare earth elements research, emphasizing that this would serve as an important mechanism for deepening bilateral trade and economic cooperation. He further stated that the Czech side would submit concrete proposals in the near future to facilitate the launch of the Working Group's activities. Director Hlavaty also expressed the Czech side’s readiness to provide practical support for expanding Mongolia–Czech trade and economic relations, including promoting Mongolia’s world-renowned cashmere products in the Czech market.
